The Samsung Galaxy S II is a smartphone that was unveiled at the MWC 2011 event in early February. Powered by a Samsung Dual Core Application Processor, this phone features a 4.3-inch WVGA SUPER AMOLED Plus display. The phone supports several networks such as HSPA+ 21Mbps/ HSUPA 5.76Mbps, EDGE/ GPRS Class 12, Quad band GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and Quad band UMTS 850/900/1900/2100. It is equipped with a 1GB RAM and 16GB/32GB memory. More memory can be added using the MicroSD (up to 32GB) slot. It features an 8-megapixel camera that features LED Flash. It also has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Other features include Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth® v3.0+HS. There’s also a USB 2.0 OTG, a MicroUSB connector and a 3.5mm headphone jack on this phone. Running on Android OS Gingerbread, this phone measures 125.3 x 66.1 X 8.49mm.

The phone allows users to send as SMS/MMS (OMA v1.2), Email (POP3/IMAP/SMTP, SSL/TLS), and Exchange ActiveSync Email. It has an audio player that supports MP3, OGG, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, WMA, WAV, MID, AC3, IMY, FLAC, and XMF. It features a video player that supports MPEG4, H.264, H.263, WMV, DivX, Xvid, and VC-1 format. Image files such as JPEG, PNG, GIF, WBMP, BMP, and AGIF can also be viewed on the phone. Other features on the phone include GPS with a-GPS, AllShare (DLNA1.5), and TouchWiz UI. Users can get access to Google Mobile Services as well on this phone.
