The N82’s firmware was last updated on the 28th February, 2008. A well-known standard feature of the N82 is its automatic screen rotation. That is made possible on the 2.4" diagonal screen. That noble LCD screen can display 240x320 pixels as well as 16.7 million colours. The quad-band N82 phone runs on the network standard, GSM and is capable of global roaming (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). The phone has 100MB internal dynamic memory.
This phone has a 5 megapixel camera that is equipped with xenon flash, Carl Zeiss Optics and Tessar lens. The N82 is the first Nokia phone that has the xenon flash feature. Media players for both audio and video are available on this phone. FM radio with Visual Radio support can be played as well. That sound can also be changed from four other different options. For speakerphone use, a 3.5 mm audio jack is featured at the start of the phone and the phone has A2DP wireless stereo headphone support. It also has a built-in accelerometer. The built-in accelerometer is used for video stabilisation and photo orientation whereby it automatically adjusts landscape or portrait shots. It has an internal memory of 128MB and for the internal flash memory, 100MB. Internet can be accessed through networks WLAN IEEE802.11 b/g with UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) support on this phone. Nokia Web Browser with Mini map is provided for internet usage. Advanced S60 PIM features are definitely included in the Nokia N82.

Whilst on paper the N82 sounds great and to a certain degree it is, the design of the N82 and its battery life are the biggest let downs and if we were to choose between this or the N95 GB it would be the latter that gets our vote. Read more
N okia has introduced a couple of new software additions in the past few months for various Nokia mobile phones. Remember for example the Nokia Ovi Internet browser and the new NGage games. Nokia have filled the N82 with just about every feature imaginable. You get WiFi and HSDPA supporting 3G, A-GPS with Nokia Maps, the excellent music and video player seen on the N95, a 3.5mm jack plug sensibly located on the top of the handset, an FM radio and a TV-out socket. The N82 may not have the 8GB memory of the latest N95, but it does carry a similarly heavyweight set of features plus Wi-Fi and HSDPA 3G high-speed connectivity options. Its five-megapixel camera produces arguably the best cameraphone pictures yet seen in a European mobile, and it has a very capable GPS satnav facility. I had this phone for over a year and can honestly say it is the best mobile I have ever owned. Rather than list the features which are easy enough to find out and are listed on this site even i'll give my opinions on the things I noticed. I bought this Mobile phone the end of last year, and have been using it for 8 months. I can say, i am super satisfied with this Mobile phone. Long standby time, long talking time even using internet talking. I save lots of money by using the internet call service of this phone, i can make long distance call to abroad without spend a cent. This is the best phone I have ever had. The sat nav is great and better than the nokia n95. The screen is of high resolution and the performance of the camera is the best I have seen out of any five megapixel camera. Its like your own personal computer. Read more
