See lessThe Nokia E71 is one of the first QWERTY keyboard devices we've used outside of the BlackBerry family that we would actually consider using instead. It's thin, narrow, sports a bright crisp screen and comes with plenty of features. After the thickness of the Curve and narrower the keyboard hasn't been hampered either by the design. So what's the catch? Well the "Mode Switching" feature comes across as a bit of a gimmick. Unless you really have trouble switching off (from... Read more

Far from being a sub-Blackberry, the E71 positions itself as a lighter alternative that can manage both your professional and personal life with great ease. Read more
The Nokia E71 is a brilliantly efficient piece of technology that does pretty much everything you might want it to do and it does it all extremely well. Like a technological servant of sorts, it serves up its many excellent facilities and a host of other titbits with a minimum of fuss - and no small amount of style. Read more
We've been yearning for a phone with a Qwerty keypad that looks good and works like it should, and here it is. This review is from: Nokia E71 SIM-Free Mobile Phone - Grey Steel (Electronics) I have used this phone since it was first released, so over 2 years and i have only positive comments to share. This is simply the best phone i have ever used. I would still bring out some cons and pros. Pros: * It has really good and solid build quality; * Symbian is not as bad as they say; * OK browser; * Good GPS; * Best QWERTY-keyboard - really comfortable; Cons: * A bit laggy at times; *... A nice phone completely ruined by a primitive UI. I have just received an E71 as my work phone & it is a BIG step back from my previous HTC Touch. The Touch running Windows Mobile had its flaws, but it was highly configurable and much richer in features. I can't believe how clunky and limited the Symbian UI is :- - no spellchecker ! - no way to edit text templates (i.e. I want to be able to add “best regards …” - terrible presentation of emails, cluttered and... ? I regret Buying this phone. It is slow. heats up while on a call and try multi-tasking and you are sure you will have to restart the unit. Worst of all When its is taken to the Nokia agents all they do is take it in for inspection then restore to factory default ( I have to personalize the settings again) and give it to you. By this time you are tired of waiting you just take the damn thing and go only to realize the problem still persists. I have done this about 5... Read more
