According to Pcpro.co.uk, the sleek candybar designed Nokia E51 comes with an elegant, understated appeal that business users will appreciate, with sophisticated and stunning smartphone functions. Optimized for business-class, the applications includes multiple corporate push email and remote synchronisation solutions, instant messaging support, Wi-Fi and high-speed 3G HSDPA connectivity plus VoIP internet voice calling. The number pad itself is excellent – very responsive, good-sized buttons clearly labelled and simply arranged. The powerful messaging and office tools are key attractions. Nokia Office Tools 2.0 provides a suite of work-friendly applications such as Quickoffice, Adobe PDF and a ZIP file manager. The E51 also supports Nokia Bluetooth keyboards. Nokia quotes optimum standby time of up to 13 days between battery recharging, or 4.4 hours of talktime, which should give busy business folk enough leeway for sustained usage between charges. All the usual multimedia requirements users expect are to hand – a multi-format music player, FM radio, a RealPlayer multimedia player, a 2-megapixel camera and support for video and audio streaming. However, there are also disadvantages where the 2-megapixel lacks a flash for low-light shooting. Face-to-face video calling is also absent from this phone, as there is no secondary camera on the front. Overall, this model is among the highest rated phones available in the market with highly recommendation by businessman and professionals.

The E51 has all the credentials to make the grade as a high quality business phone, but it has much more appeal than simply a work-day handset. It has a sharp and understated design and it's straightforward to use if you want to access key features easily. The phone’s display isn’t going to be large enough for some users, and anyone looking for a top-end multimedia cameraphone, GPS-equipped mobile or BlackBerry-style keyboard should look elsewhere. But the E51 is a cr... Read more
The E51 is a vast, vast, improvement on the solid but unspectacular E50. If you don’t want the intrusive bulk of a QWERTY-packing smartphone but you’re still in the market for a simple-to-use, highly connected and messaging-friendly smartphone then we can’t recommend the E51 strongly enough. Although you could argue the camera is a duffer, nit-picking aside, the E51 is damn hard to fault. Read more
It has a lovely slimline look, with metal side and back panelling giving the phone a refined air. The front keypad and screen arrangement is decked out in serious black, although the E51 is available in three tasteful colour options, with side and back panel trim varying – Black Steel (black), Pink Steel (bronze) and White Steel (chrome). Of all the E series mobiles the E51 is the most disarming. It lacks a QWERTY keyboard and so won't suit those who need to do lots of e-mail, but for information-fiends it is a tidy option. Read more

Fabulous phone. SIM ACCESS profile built in and it connects with Mercedes Benz cars with telephone pre-wired extremely well. This is one reason why I changed from Sony Ericsson. You can then use the car phone with your SIM authority without wasting battery power in the phone. Brilliant! Read more
The first impression of this mobile is very deceptive, & you don't like it at all. When you go closer & hold it with its specs in front of you. You are taken aback, with the kind of king kong features it has in store for you. This is a fantastic Smartphone & it is value for money. Read more
Sorry to sound like a scratched LP, but my Nokia E51 lasts 2 days (48 hours) with no problems and I am convinced if I switched it to GSM only and did not use wifi I could get 4 days from it.

Is Palm OS still alive? To be honest, the hardware is more important for me than the OS. The form factor has a very big impact on the usability and productivity of a mobile device. The Nokia E51 is a good example. A very very small Smartphone but in a very usable form factor and powerful h/w. I think the SE X1 is good example of what I mean - the X1 would be successful irrespective of the OS.

Regarding the Centro: No Wifi, No sale. I'm totally amazed by what I can now do on my Wifi enabled Nokia E51 (Skype calls, MSN/Google chat, you tube videos - both in streaming and downloading) that I don't think I can accept a non wifi device.
