The LG F2400 is a great phone that is user friendly and has the capability to meet the demands of a basic phone with great functionality. The most striking feature of the phone is that it has Bluetooth. The F2400 is an entry level phone meant for first time mobile users and people who need a mobile to carry out the most elementary functions. The phone weighs a delightful 91g and comes in a clamshell design. It is easy to use and comes packed with several features like Java games, SMS (Smart Messaging service)/ EMS and MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) and polyphonic ring tones. Its compact design makes it easy to carry and the phone is likely a make an excellent gift for teenagers as well as grandparents. F2400 has a VGA digital camera backed by LED lights. This enables photographs to be taken even in poor lighting or at night. This dual band phone has an internal antenna for network support and an internal TFT screen with up to 65,536 colours and a resolution of 128/160 pixel.

The external OLED LCD is capable of showcasing 65,536 colours and a remarkable resolution of 96/96 pixel. The phone also features 40 polyphonic ring tones and Bluetooth wireless connectivity which is its most sought after feature. It has a 4MB memory, is WAP enabled and is a GPRS class10. It also has PIM applications and antimicrobial coating. The phone has an extended Li Ion battery that allows a talk time of up to 2 hours 30 minutes and a standby time of 300 hours. Its most prominent drawbacks are that it fails to take great pictures and it has a small memory. Further, it is accompanied by a serial cable connector whereas a USB data port would have been better. On the whole, if you really want to go in for a basic phone, the LG2400 is a great choice. You can keep it for personal use ior gift it to a loved one.

The quality of the sound is typical for LG phones and no problems appear in the majority of cases. The volume of the 40-tones call signal is enough not always, it's loud and comparable to other models by the company but the presence of two loudspeakers is not felt. Subjectively, the call loudspeaker is weaker than in the previous model, it starts wheezing at the max volume. Well assembling quality and various colour solutions that will attract youth should be considered... Read more

The LG F2400 is hopefully the beginning of a new era of entry-level handsets. It’s one of the first to be aimed at the new mobile user market that incorporates Bluetooth Wireless Technology. It doesn’t have everything a brand new mid/high-level handset would have (like a Megapixel camera, 262k colour display, and so on), but not everyone wants that, especially if it’s their first experience with a mobile phone. I’d suggest the F2400 to Grandma’s and Grandpa’s... Read more

As smart phones and flash phones become ever more sophisticated, some folk are crying out for a slice of the simple life. As far as they're concerned, a good-looking device that enables you to talk to people from a distance is really all you need. And that's pretty much what you get with LG's F2400, available exclusively on Orange. Read more
