The HTC TyTN is an excellent choice for anyone who is interested in a Pocket PC. However, if you are looking for a fashionable phone, you may want to look again. Chances are that you will probably not be too impressed with the chunky, thicker design of the HTC TyTN. It is definitely not an ideal phone for the pocket, or even for small purses for that matter. However, at the same time, it is loaded with some really great features. Some of these great features include access to things such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, and Windows Media Player. You will also be given email access, which is very ideal for anybody who is constantly on the go. There is also a 2 megapixel built in camera, as well as a 0.3 megapixel VGA camera that gives you the ability to decide to make video calls. Without using too many extra features, you will find that the battery life length that you can from the HTC TyTN will be good, overall. One of the main flaws which you may find with the HTC TyTN is the fact that it may not be very easy to use. Unfortunately, you may not even understand how to use some of its really great features- which is a shame, because they are really worthwhile.
If you are interested in a Pocket PC, the HTC TyTN is a great choice for you. At the same time, since it may be a bit confusing to use, it is good to have an idea of how to work some of the great features which can be found in this mobile phone. With some really great features, however, the HTC TyTN is not a mobile phone which you will want to miss out on.

The inclusion of Wireless, 3G, Edge and even the new HSPDA standard means there is bound to be some connection on offer wherever you are in the world. Combine this with an easy to use keyboard, a large screen and Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 (it’s the OS that now features push email) and we struggle to find faults with the device. If you are a road warrior and fed up of lugging your laptop with you wherever you go,... Read more
The HTC TyTN may be a last years model, but it has a shed load of features, including a nifty slide out keyboard for making life easier when you type. Read more
HTC, the manufacturer behind the O2 Xda and Orange SPV handsets, is now also marketing products under its own brand. Not content with GSM, GPRS, EDGE and 802.11b/g, the TyTN also packs in 3G and HSPDA. The robust chassis has a 2.8in touchscreen TFT and a multitude of hardware buttons, plus two fairly good cameras: one for video calls and a 2-megapixel unit for snapshots. For typing, the sliding QWERTY keyboard is comfortable to use. With a 400MHz processor onboard,... Read more
The HTC TyTN is a successful platform. The manufacturer added support for 3G networks, increased performance, updated interfaces. Communicators of the similar form factor under Windows Mobile can be counted on the fingers of one hand, they are clones of one or two main models. Advantages of the QWERTY keyboard become apparent after you have worked with this device for several days. And then you will miss this ease and speed of typing texts very much. Editing large... This is an extremely well-featured Pocket PC that also has mobile phone capabilities. HTC has made sure that it's balanced features with power so the TyTN doesn't leave you hanging when you need to access applications like Skype. It is definitely not meant for the light user and is geared towards people who need a lot of features on the go. Due to its size and weight, however, you'll need a bag if you're going to carry it around Read more

When I got my first tytn i bought it broken. It was an easy fix, just replaced the screen with a manual i found online. Worked great. Found out how to change the software version from WM5 to WM6. Actually worked faster and I could tell if caps or symbol was on with the new software. I even found an unoficial software patch to add an internal gps. Didn't work and made it randomally shut off but I actually fixed it. The only thing that did this phone in was when i went to... Read more
I have had this pocket pc for nearly 1 year now. Well, 3 of them. First one stopped working completely, went onto standby mode and never woke up. Second one liked to turn itself off from time to time. Both went back. Third one has lasted 6 months so far. It will be going back. So what's wrong with this one? Well, the vibrator only works from time to time, the speaker only works from time to time, and the keyboard will stop working just when you are in the middle of... Read more
Back in the Autumn of 2006 the most exciting and droolworthy smartphone was the HTC TYTN. It was a monster device packing all the state of the arts specs anyone of that era could ask for. Fast forward to today (January 2010) and the TYTN feels dated, it is thick, has a tiny resistive touch screen, and anemic power, but there is one area where this phone still out shines the iPhone 3GS and Nexus ones of the world, and that is in the realm of physical inputs. Not only does... Read more
