See lessHTC has created a device that is a the best iPhone challenger we've seen to date and offers those not keen to switch to Apple or O2 the chance to get touchy feely with their phone. Compared to the Samsung i900 this is light years ahead, compared to the BlackBerry Curve, users will miss the QWERTY keyboard and while the touchscreen keyboard does go someway to replacing this it’s just not the same experience. However BlackBerry Pearl users should be fine. Against the... Read more
A feature-packed smartphone in a designer shell. Unfortunately what the Touch Diamond has in looks, it sadly lacks in usability. Read more
It seems that the 3.2 megapixal camera has been less focussed upon than many of the other features. It's certainly not one of the sharpest onboard camera we have used, and as with previous HTC models has quite a slow response when taking photos with fast moving objects. As for useability, the multi-touch enables users to zoom in and out of webpages, making it similar to using a laptop when out of the office. However, one major flaw is that the processor doesn't have the... Read more
The Touch Diamond may not be perfect, but it's small, light, well equipped and comes with a smooth, clever and reliable 3D user interface that looks great and keeps you well away from Windows Mobile. The screen and web browser are both particularly fine. Our biggest concern is the lack of a memory card slot which on a high-end smartphone in this day and age is tough to explain or justify. We thought the Touch Diamond was going to be HTC's pièce de résistance. Instead, we were left wanting more. It looks the part of an all-round super phone, but it doesn't work like one. Hopefully, HTC can learn from this and make the next iteration of Touch phone more responsive -- that may involve scrapping Windows Mobile as a back-end OS Read more
So I love the interface, the way it looks etc. Everyone does - Registry edits to improve do a *little* bit, but outside of that, I've had nothing but trouble. The phone locks up after a few days - then even after reboot TouchFlo fires up and freezes instantly with the backlight on so it flattens the battery. Reset does the usual then back into the dead state after a few taps. HTC support useless in Europe but in the USA brilliant - I've had to do 5 hard resets (Volume... Read more

This review is from: HTC P3700 Touch Diamond Smartphone (Electronics) I have had this phone now for well over a year & I still consider it the best smartphone/ windows phone/ pda there is. WHY U ASK ? 1: its looks are just so so gorgeous, I mean the actual diamond cut shaping on the back of the phone is beautiful. 2: its sooo small & light its almost laughable how they squeeeze everything inside it. 3: it does everything with ease, tom tom, opera browser, email, media... I got this as a free upgrade, thinking this will change my life etc but I was wrong. I owned the phone for 8 months and it had to go, performance was slow, kept crashing at times and just froze, navigation buttons would skip to the next menu that I did not use. All in all, nice try but this phone did not do the job for me. Read more
Summary: Overall a perfect device for anyone looking to buy a high end smart phone Read more
