The Microsoft Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 is a great all-in-one mouse for the busy professional. It's compact, stylish and is loaded with useful features. The case is very handy and is great for these small mice - I recommend Microsoft include these with all notebook mice in the future. The new IntelliPoint 6.1 has some great new features that are definitely meant to work seamlessly with the mouse. It's a bit expensive - but for the target demographic the... Read more

Like a lot of us, I travel for work fairly often, lugging my rotator-cuff rending Lenovo T60p (with extended life battery) and its builders-grade power brick through airports and hotels.  Because of this, I am rather fanatical about accessories that can help me save time, weight and space, both on my daily grind commute and on more adventurous voyages.  But, you may ask, does the Wireless Notebook Presenter Mouse 8000 meet these goals?  Does the length of the product... I use this presenter daily. It needs installation to be used as a presenter which affects me each time I change the computer, The button on the mouse surface that switches the mouse and presenter function is not in a good place, sometimes when you want to click one of the the presenter's buttons this button will be clicked and you get really annoyed. This is the best bluetooth mouse that I have owned. It is great not having to put in a dongle. I have to note that I had to get 2 of them. On the first one that I got the left mouse button was really hard to press, but I had that one replaced and the second one didn't have that problem. Not sure if this is a built quality issue or just a consistency issue. One change I would like is to move both of the side buttons to the left. They are hard to press because they are... Read more

  4. An Okay Product with Some Annoying Flaws

    Reviewer: DealTime UK

All right, so this is just an okay mouse overall. It has some neat features, but it also has some major annoyances. Honestly, I would probably return the product now if I still could. The problems are as follows: * The mouse is somewhat small and un-ergonomic, and it causes my hand to fatigue more quickly than any other mouse I've ever used. * The left-click button squeaks obtrusively when pressed. The first one I purchased squeaked, so I returned it for a second--which... Read more

I spent a week or two trying to decide between a Logitech Nano and this Microsoft Presenter Mouse. In the end it was the laser gimmick that swayed me in the Microsoft direction. I made a booboo. Learn from my mistakes: * You use a mouse as a mouse, not as a laser pointer or remote control. Buy a proper mouse, not a toy. * If you want a laser pointer, buy a laser pen - they are much easier and more intuitive to use in that format. * If you want a remote control, buy a... Read more
