Sony MSMT4G Memory Stick® PRO Duo® Mark 2®

The Sony MSMT4G Memory Stick® PRO Duo(tm)is a Mark 2 device with 4 gigabytes of flash memory. Mark 2 memory sticks are designed by Sony for compact digital cameras like the Sony Cyber-shot® and also PSP® Portable Game Consoles. The card has small physical dimensions of 20mm x 31mm x 1.6mm and weighs 2 grams. The MSMT4G is backward compatible with older PRO Duo® devices when used with the included Memory Stick® adaptor.

Memory

The MSMT4G offers 4 gigabytes of memory and provides a minimum write speed of 32Mbps on Memory stick® PRO Duo(tm) compatible devices. It is possible to record AVHCD Format Video directly to the card at a resolution up to 1920 x 1080. The device hosts a standard 10-pin serial Memory Stick® Interface as well as a new 4-pin parallel Interface which supports block transfer at 160Mbps. The card is ideal for plentiful storage of pictures, video and audio on a reliable and portable medium.

Other Features

The Sony MSMT4G Memory Stick® is compatible with MagicGate Technology, which is Sony’s implementation of copyright management. Also provided for download is Sony’s Memory Stick® File Rescue Software that allows recovery of accidentally erased media from the card’s file system.

Operation

The MSMT4G memory card operates at 2.7V - 3.6V and is resistant to a temperature range of -10.5° to +85°C. Maximum power consumption varies from 65 MA in serial mode to 100 MA in parallel mode.
