The Myst III: Exile features a Mac game of Adventure genre which is developed by Presto Studios and published by Ubisoft. It offers the player with the role of Stranger which is a friend of Atrus. It is said that Atrus of D’ni race is able to create links to other worlds called Ages by writing descriptive books. This game shows Atrus who has written an Age for the D’ni to live on while rebuilding their civilization. In addition to this, the book has been stolen by a mysterious figure. This game offers the Stranger to pursue the thief in an attempt to reclaim the book. The Myst III: Exile features a diverse and logical approach to puzzles and Ages which is done to make the villain multifaceted. It offers “free look” system which provides the player a 360-degree field of view. The Zip mode explores terrain by skipping several nodes and it also allows the player to manipulate objects and pick up items. The Age of J’nanin acts as a hub which links the other three Ages which involve Voltaic, a dusty island riddled with canyons filled with man-made constructions; Amateria, a mechanical Age in the middle of a vast sea; and Edanna, a world preserved with nature of abundant plant and animal life. This game features Edanna’s plant-filled puzzles which require manipulation of the Age’s ecosystem. The player is said to be able to pick up and view journals or pages written by game characters which reveal back-story and provide hints to solving puzzles. The Cursor mode allows selection of items from a personal inventory at the bottom of the screen.
