It features Special Low Dispersion glass and aspherical lenses, multi-layer coating that reduces flare and ghosting, minimum focusing distance of 35cm and maximum magnification of 1:3.8, for close-up photograph. It features HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) for quiet and high speed autofocus and is compatible with Sigma, Canon, Nikon, Pentax and Sony mounts. It features the equivalent of using a shutter speed approximately 4 stops faster and is a lens for several type of photography such as wide-angle, telephoto and close-up.
