Review Summary

The Razer Lycosa is a kind of keyboard with LED backlighting. CNET noted that this keyboard is excellent for confident touch-typing gamers, that too, thanks to its rubber-coated keys. When it comes to features, it is said that Razer has provided a few unique ones that have never seen the daylight before on other keyboards. One of them notably would be the rubber coating on the keys that provides a soft, comfortable touch. Then, there’s the option where users can switch between three backlight configurations via a touch-sensitive control pad. Razer’s software can be also used to program each of the Lycosa’s keys to work as a separate macro, either individually or in combination with one another. Having a small profile, powerful macro software, a smooth typing and a strong desk grip sort of have its own advantage to its users and reviewers and users. While few faulty features have also been highlighted and among them are the fact that there’s only one spare USB port, its LED backlighting is dim and non-adjustable and its software is somehow unintuitive. Razer’s Lycosa gaming keyboard has had a lot to live for and by far, its reviewers and users’ response have been positive despite the fact that it does a few drawbacks but still, that didn’t stop the praise from pouring in. This keyboard will suit those who are the kinds of strong touch-typing gamers but if it were someone who would have a regular and normal use to it then the LED lightning might be the only drawback to that.
