Review Summary

The Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave is a wireless mouse and keyboard combination for both Windows and Mac using a USB connection. The Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave is no doubt an irresistible design that will make a stylish addition to the desktop. The mouse is a mid-sized mouse shaped nicely to fit the hand and keep it comfortable. Whereas, the keyboard is a bit larger than normal and includes a built-in palm rest and number pad on the side. The “wave keys" are contoured, meaning some keys are higher than others, designed to fit better and naturally to the busy fingers. The keyboard also includes many additional buttons programmed for media functions (play, volume), and has a channel on the underside that keeps headphone cords out of the way. The installation is absolutely simple and user friendly. However, the arrangement of the paging keys frustrates some users, though, as some rather have the standard 3x2 configuration. Some users also think the Application switcher key is useless since the Alt+Tab does the same thing and is more reachable instead. The State LEDs is also awkwardly positioned below Number pad. Many sites such as Thinkcomputers.org give it an above average rating, stating that it represents good value for money. However, it is mostly recommended for business applications and not gaming though.

Perhaps even more so than mice, keyboards can be a deeply personal thing. Once you've found a keyboard you like it's hard when you have to use a different one. For example, until Logitech's Wave Keyboard landed on my desk I was still using a clackity old Microsoft PS/2 keyboard and loved it to bits. Likewise, recently one of our old staffers asked to have his old favourite keyboard, which was buried in one of our bottomless cupboards, shipped to him in Taiwan. Read more

The Cordless Desktop Wave is a mid-range set. Because of its specific shape, it may not be suited to everybody. The “pro” version of the Wave set comes with a much better mouse. Read more

I've only had this keyboard for a day and I'm still getting used to it, but so far it is everything I was looking for. I had used a different wireless keyboard years ago and missed having one with my new computer. I like having the keyboard in my lap as I type and couldn't do that with my wired keyboard. This keyboard is quite comfortable, although it does take some getting used to. I really like the page zoom feature since my eyes aren't as good as they used to be. The... Read more

Overall, this is a wonderful keyboard - great feel, decent amount of function keys. But why do keyboard makers feel the need to mess with the keyboard layout that everyone has been comfortable with for decades? The odd grouping of F keys means I hit F4 when I'm trying to refresh, and while the big delete key is nice, the reconfiguring of it's block makes home, end, pgup, and pgdn hard to find. Also, since it is a USB keyboard, it would be nice to have a USB port or two... Read more

I bought this combo hoping to eliminate my tangle of cords, which this product obviously does well. But I have lagging issues. When I type, there are times that I wont get any response from the keyboard to the computer and then other times there is a lag in keystroke and recognition on the computer. Read more
