Yamaha YST-FSW150

The YST-FSW150 from Yamaha uses Advanced Yamaha Active Servo Technology (YST II), a built in integrated power amplifier and a single 75 Watt 30Hz – 160Hz wired 6.5” subwoofer. The Active Subwoofer produces 75 watt minimum power output and manages 130 watt peak power output with response bandwidth ranges from 30Hz up to 160Hz. Input impedance is at 12 k ohm and includes magnetic shield.

Yamaha’s YST-FSW150 Active Subwoofer exploits Advanced YST II with Linear Port and Down-Firing Active Design. It features a single 6.5” wired subwoofer which produces 130 watt peak power output. It also manages low frequency response ranges from 30Hz up to 150Hz. The Active subwoofer comes in a black exterior that measures 17.1” wide by 5.9” tall and 13.8” deep and weighs 20.7 lbs. Dual knob on the front panel control subwoofer volume and power on/off individually. A single Audio line in and a single System components control bus connectors complete the back of the enclosure. The YST-FSW150 Active Subwoofer comes with a stand and an audio cable as accessories.

    The unit is provided with only single wire connections, which works okay in an A/V application, but if you're intending to use it with a stereo receiver (that has left and right output connections), you'll need to go to an electronics store to buy a "Y" adapter because the unit doesn't ship with one.     Had to buy by size, not a good thing. But this little workhorse is fantastic. Much better than the huge foot and a half square box that it replaced!!! Good sound and fits behind the entertainment center in the corner totally out of site! Read more
