As with previous models, it doesn't achieve quite enough bass to make the most of movie soundtracks, and including a subwoofer is recommended if you like plenty of punch with your action movies. You’re paying quite a lot for the YSP-900, and to get the full benefit from the system you’ll need to make sure it’s set up in the best way possible. Link doesn't work. If you don't fancy cables and speakers all over the place and want a nice clean install that sounds good, have a look at the Yamaha YSP900 or 1100. The 900 is on sale for around £300 now (RRP £800 when new) and it might be even cheaper as the new 30D/40D models are out now.
