Klipsch RC-52

The Klipsch RC-52 is a high-performance center channel speaker designed with Tapered Array technology for maximum dialogue clarity. It comes with a 1-inch titanium tweeter and dual high-output Cerametallic woofers providing intense bass response with astonishing speed and accuracy plus it is available in Black Ash wood grain vinyl finish and comes with a low-diffraction and magnetically shielded drivers to prevent video interference.

Features

The Klipsch RC-52 is designed with Tractrix Horns technology that includes improved throat geometry for a more genuine, lifelike sound combined a 1-inch titanium tweeter with a powerful neodymium magnet motor structure to provide a unique combination of precision, clarity and effortless power. The RC-52 employs dual 5.25-inch woofers for a solid bass foundation. These Cerametallic woofers with inverted copper dust caps exhibit a very high stiffness-to-mass ratio and superb damping characteristics. It is also fitted with Tapered Array technology which operates both woofers at the lowest frequencies; maintaining the high output capability necessary for good center channel performance and only one operates all the way through the midrange to where the tweeter takes over. This eliminates acoustic interference between the woofer outputs. The RC-52’s cabinet offers improved internal cross-bracing to minimize panel vibrations that can color sound. Twin front-firing ports eliminate turbulence noise, while increased baffle ribbing around the horn mouth dramatically improves acoustics across the sonic range. For signal purity and perfect driver integration, the crossover on the RC-52 features the finest components and Klipsch custom internal wiring. The Klipsch RC-52 has a response bandwidth of up to 67Hz-23000Hz, approximately 3dB and peak power handling of 125W RMS, nominal power of 500W RMS. It also comes with 96dB @ 2.83V / 1m sensitivity, 8 ohms compatible nominal impedance and high frequency crossover of 1400Hz to 1600Hz. Apart from that, the RC-52 has an amplification type of 2.5-way passive and it uses the wired connectivity technology. The RC-52 measures at 52.1cm in width, 26.7cm in depth and 17.2cm in height and it weights in at 10kg.

With the center channel producing 60% of the audio in a home theater you need a solid center channel speaker. No need to look any further with the Klipsch RC52. Very impressive performance and appearance. The audio reproduction is better then any center channel speaker I have ever owned. You can put your ear right up to this speaker during a movie and it sounds like someone is talking to you. This speaker is very efficient and requires little volume to get full sound.... Read more

I use this, with rb 61 fronts, rs 42 surrounds, and a BA subwoofer, in an 8x8 home theater setup, powered by a Denon 2310. It's massive, but unobtrusive, and I'd recommend a stand for alignment with the fronts. Effect has been fantastic, as it brings out dialog/vocals that otherwise tend to get "smothered" by other components. Read more

I bought this speaker to replace an old and fairly small but expensive M&K speaker. I was impressed by the price and size of this larger speaker. I'm happy with the bass, which is much richer and fuller than my old speaker; setup is easy; the speaker is attractive. I wish it had clearer treble and midrange sound. Perhaps when it is broken in, it will deliver better sound. But, all in all, for the price, this is a very good deal and I believe it would fit well with most... Read more
