Palm Treo 500 smartphone

The Palm® Treo™ 500 smartphone works on Windows Mobile 6 Standard. It was released in February 2008. It has the dimensions of 16.5mm (D) x 61.5mm (W) x 110mm (H) and weights at 120 grams. It has a display that features 320x240-pixel Transflective colour screen; supports 16-bit colour (up to 65K colours). Network type and radio is GSM/GPRS/UMTS radio. GSM bands supported are 900/1800/1900 while the UMTS band is 2100. It has 256MB memory (150MB available user storage). Battery is a removable 1200mAh, lithium-ion battery. It has a talk time 10 days standby and up to 4.5 hours of talk time. System requirements are Windows® XP and Vista™. This phone sports a Qwerty microkeyboard as well.

It’s got a 320 x 240, 65,536-colour display; tri-band GSM/GPRS connectivity and 3G; Bluetooth 2.0 with Extended Data Rate (EDR) technology; 256MB of Flash memory, of which 150MB is available to the user; a two-megapixel camera; and a Micro SD expansion slot. Bluetooth wireless type is version 2.0+EDR. It can be set to Profiles: Headset, handsfree, EDR, serial and OBEX. Mono and stereo headsets are supported. Camera featured is 2.0 megapixels with 2x digital zoom and video capture support. As connector, there’s a mini USB. For phone purposes, one can make direct calls or set up three-way conference calls. A built-in speaker phone is featured and contacts can be stored for easy dialing purposes. For email purposes, accounts can be checked including Hotmail/MSN, Yahoo!, and Gmail. Hot keys are featured for easy access to your mail. IM, SMS and MMS can be accessed as well. Data connection can be shared through this smartphone to your laptop. Software included on this device are ActiveSync®, Alarm Clock, Bluetooth®, Bubble Breaker, Calculator, Camera, File Explorer, Google Maps,2 Internet Connect Sharing, Internet Explorer® Mobile, Messaging, Microsoft® Voice Notes, Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel®, PowerPoint®, and Outlook®), Phone, Pictures and Videos, Solitaire, Task Manager and Windows Media® Player Mobile.
