The Pioneer AVIC-F900BT hails from Pioneer’s F-series navigation line and it has the entire TeleAtlas Database which was previously on a two-DVD set, compressed down and stored in an internal flash memory. The Pioneer AVIC-F900BT offers a new generation of voice recognition capability which accepts and recognizes conversational phrases and language, filters out superfluous sounds and phrases, and asks additional questions if insufficient information for the command is provided. It has a dimension of 7 x 4 x 6.5 inches. The package is under warranty for one year.
The Pioneer AVIC-F900BT has a 5.8 inch screen, with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA) and an antiglare screen coating. It also has a screen splash customization via SD card, and customized key panel illumination with up to 32,768 colours. Selectable viewing modes can either be in full or normal. The map data is stored in the flash memory, and coverage area includes US, Canada, Alaska and Hawaii. A 8-channel GPS receiver and antenna is also included with the unit. Voice instructions playback is via TTS (Text to Speech) and it has multi-language display capability in English, Spanish and French. The Pioneer AVIC-F900BT is voice box conversation voice search for iPod/ iPhone enabled. It can store up to approximately 12 million POIs (points of interest) with a database of 147 categories. Display mode includes 3D View, 2D map and rear view. The DVD/ CD player supports DVD-R/RW (Video Format) playback and CD-R/RW playback. The Pioneer AVIC-F900BT incorporates Bluetooth wireless technology via built-in Bluetooth, which enables hands-free profile (HFP). The Pioneer AVIC-F900BT is iPod Video and Podcast compatible. Audio features include built-in speaker power of MOSFET 50W x4 and continuous power output of 22W x4. It also has a 3-band parametric equalizer and a 3-mode selectable loudness. The RCA preouts come in three pairs (front, rear, subwoofer) with a preout voltage of 2.2V, 1k Ohm.
