Gary Van Thorntonpatricia Logan "pjlogan-thor..., Amazon

Summary: Purchased used... I would've marked it 'like new'... a replacement for a lost GPS... came with full directions... works beautifully. Honeyman is pleased with this product... used on a recent trip out of state and used locally for caching... does the job!
Summary: The seller did not mention that this device was missing the battery pack and charger so it was a real was of time and money. The price of the battery alone was more than the price I paid for the GPS. So I could have purchased a new one and been done with it.
Summary: I've owned the Sport Trak Map for more years than I can recall. I originally bought it to find the borders of a 5 acre piece of property that has been in the family for years. Don't make the mistake that I did and think that it might be accurate enough for surveying. It's not. But I love it anyway. Why? 1)I have used to check speedometer accuracy on a number of cars, trucks and motorcycles.
Summary: After I lost my old Magellan, I looked at the prices of the new ones and also at my original. For less than half the price I get the same features I want in the 4 year old model - I still like it.
I've had this gps probably for about 3-4 years now.

Excerpt: I've had this gps probably for about 3-4 years now. I have not had one problem with it. It completely lives up to what it says it can do. It's completely waterproof, and it floats. I've used this for hiking, geocaching, and fishing/crabbing. I first tested it in the sink filled it with water and tossed her in, and she floated. Then i went out to the bay and it floated. and even despite the salt water, the screws didn't rust. It held its water tightness through everything.
Summary: Of the four hand held receivers I've used, the SporTrak Map was the first one that I used extensively and I was very pleased with it for over a year, until it quit working for no apparent reason. I sent an email message to Magellan support explaining the problem and received a reply saying that `it sounds like you'll need to send in the unit for repair.' No address or instructions were given as to where or how I was to send it.
