I'm about to go into the field to construct a geological map for my studies and require a portable GPS device that will provide details to my location in a grid reference format. The GPS device I have only displays co-ordinates in degrees, minutes and seconds which in inadequate for my mapping needs. Can anyone recommend an affordable portable device which will serve my needs? Any advice would be much appreciated. Ash

Using the eTrex H as a position input for other equiment is a failure. Somtimes it updates the interface every second (per the spec) but other times takes 5 seconds and my equipment gives a "No GPS" error. Garmin "Tech Support" offerd no explanation or solution. My old eTrax Legend worked fine, but not the 'H' Any ideas?
