The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is an action-adventure game developed by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development and published by Nintendo. It is the thirteenth instalment in The Legend of Zelda series. It is rated T by the ERSB for fantasy violence and animated blood.

Features

In The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, the story focuses on the hero Link who tries to prevent Hyrule from being engulfed by a corrupted parallel dimension, the Twilight Realm. He takes the forms of both a human and a wolf and has the help of a mysterious creature named Midna. The game takes place many hundreds of years after Majora’s Mask, on the timeline created after the events of Ocarina of Time. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess focuses on exploration and item collection. Link can walk, run, and attack, and will automatically jump when reaching a ledge. He also uses a sword and shield in combat complemented with secondary weapons and items, including a bow and arrow, a boomerang, bombs and a clawshot. The basic control introduced in Ocarina of Time, including Z-targeting and context-sensitive buttons is used. Z-targeting allows Link to lock on to an enemy and automatically defend. The game features nine dungeons, of large, contained areas where Link battles enemies, collects items, and solves puzzles. He navigates the dungeons and fights a boss at the end in order to obtain an item or otherwise advance the plot.

To close there is too much to talk about in the game, so I'm giving it a solid 9/10, or if you're percentage people, 93%. Everything you expect from the game is there (except a higher difficulty), and really there's only one thing stopping it from getting 10/10, and that's Ocarina of Time . Readers may notice that this is 1% higher in rating than that of the Wii version, and rightly so. I'm not recommending you buy either version other the other, but for a Zelda veteran... Read more

Twilight Princess is the final traditional Zelda, and boldly proclaimed by Nintendo to be the biggest and greatest addition to the series yet. It would be fair to say there was a body of concern surrounding this statement, where fans feared such claims were decorated by fabricated hopes and dreams. But the moment the opening symphony plays until the concluding credits, all fear and doubt quickly vanishes like the cool whispering of an autumn’s breeze. Though not... Read more

Writing a review about one of the biggest franchise games of all time almost two months after it's been released in the UK is probably a bit late for some, given that anyone with a Nintendo console of some kind is probably at least halfway through it, if not completed it already. Never mind. Read more

Set in the land of Hyrule, Zelda features lots of horseback riding. Nintendo says this will be a key component of gameplay. They'll be like Ocarina Of Time's horse sections, and replace Wind Waker's boat bits as a way of getting around. There's also combat on horseback, with Link able to knock enemies off their steeds, sending them tumbling to the ground. The eye-tracking system of Wind Waker is carried across to the new adventure. From the footage shown it's also... Read more

i have played the wii version of this game from a mate, it may b fun 2 play but i just think a game lyk TP is better used wit a traditional controller insted of sum "innovative" control. i also notice that the case 2 the GC version on amazon is diffrent- why is that?! i bought the gc version on the day of its release & it has the same case as the wii one. i been a zelda fan since i was literally in nappys, & i can not agree anymore wen i say that THIS IS THE BEST ZELDA...
