Tales of Symphonia does not earn points for originality, after all, the plot does borrow from Final Fantasy (though its own ideas do eventually blossom) and the gameplay borrows from almost every Japanese-developed RPG in the last five years, but it does earn praise for being so well developed and polished. Faults do exist, but they are rare and insignificant and, ultimately, this grand adventure is such an approachable epic that faults are just swept away during the ... Read more

One of the best RPGs or role playing games released on the game cube. In game play and cut scenes it looks somewhat like an anime and in the US and UK releases has English voicing for the characters, which i had never seen before on a game cube game before. Apparently there is a manga comic book series and it will be available on the wii in the future sometime also. The game starts off with a group of youths attending school, but after a while it becomes apparent that... Read more

My lord it does strike me how few people(at this point none) have decided to review this game. Seeing as there is very little point in doing so now, as it is a gamecube title, i'll do it anyway! First, you are probably expecting an ordinary RPG, absorbing plotline, turn based combat, one awesome character who everbody loves. The fact of the matter is, that it is not your textbook RPG, as the story may be absorbing but it has the first use i've ever seen of an overworl... Read more

From what I have played so far, the game is very fun. I've been itching for a RPG on gamecube since finishing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. This game delivers, and then some. Sure, you've heard the story before - It's time to save the world again. But nevertheless, you sure have fun doing it. Graphics are wonderful in this game, especially the effects during battle. Can't say how the ending will turn out, but i bet you save the world! Since this game has recently ... Read more
