Super Smash Bros. will initially excite those swallowed by the Internet’s all-pervasive hype machine and will remain an enjoyable party game for many months, but after extended play it will become apparent to fans of its predecessor just how little has changed from the game’s 64-bit origins, whereas virgins to this hopefully concluded franchise will be left staring blankly at their televisions wondering how so many people have been swept up in a rush of blind fanaticism. Smash Bros. Melee, as simple as it is to play, contains many intricacies that help it make more strategic and less of a button-bashing experience. The Japanese adore it, and its not hard to see why. Read more

After the somewhat disappointing launch of Luigi’s Mansion, Nintendo are back with a whole host of loveable characters all taking part in one of the greatest multi-player games around. It may have taking its time getting to us but along with Monkey Ball and Rogue Leader this is a must have for anybody with Nintendo’s new console and deserves to be in everybody’s collection. Editorial: Normally, Nintendo contract players like Mario, Pikachu, Link, Donkey Kong, Bowser and Kirby are generally happy and well-mannered, but in Smash Bros. Melee the pleasantries get thrown out and the gloves (except for Mario's) come off. This update of the N64 favourite has these and other video game icons in furious, yet utterly absurd fisticuffs that usually make for a smashing good time. Just make sure you have at least one human opponent to pound on. Start... Read more

Super Smash Bros Melee is one of the greatest games available for the Gamecube and is only the second one Nintendo has done, but has started to become a new series of games. All you do is one thing: Fight, all day long, until you come of the game. This makes a very noticeable update to the first Nintendo 64 version, which wasn't very good, but now the 3D is very noticeable and very realistic. They are many different characters, from all over Nintendo, there is loads. ... Read more

I cannot get over how good this game actually is. Me and a group of friends have been playing this since it came out on multiplayer, and we just refuse to get bored of it, even now one of us has an Xbox 360 and Halo 3, Super Smash Bros finds itself in a gaming day routine everytime, without fail. The single player is solid; classic mode, adventure mode, all star mode and event matches are just some of the choices on offer, and with so many characters to get used to, t... Read more

Amazing. Super smash bros melee in one word. if you want a frantic fight between Nintendo allstars you got it. link vs mario. you got it. even once you done everything you can like unlock all the caracters the events traing and all that. you can just keep fighting or watch the cpu fight each other even better if you've got more than one controller so invite your mates round so you can just kick lumps out of each others caracter (not them obviously). I've had it for ag... Read more
