This instalment of the series is probably the epitome of the franchise; its fun, endearing and highly addictive. The only drawback is that newbies to the series may flounder and find it hard to regain interest if they fail at the start, due to the game’s lack of assistance. Still, those that keep at it will discover the wonder of the franchise, and what is really one of the deepest role-playing/sim experiences available today. Read more

I never thought I would like HM - but was intrigued enough by the concept to take the chance and I am glad I have. It's given me the most use out of my Gamecube since launch day. It's also the first game that my girlfriend has enjoyed playing and has seen her actually take an interest in other games as well. Well worth checking out for any of you who fancy something that little bit different. Load it up, relax and experience the country life. Read more

Like a real farmer you get up while the cattle is still sleeping, so around 5 A.M. you stumble out of bed. You check the television to see if there’s any bad weather coming your way. Satisfied with the lovely weather you hurry outside, you plan on getting some work done before the sun is up today. After watering your tomato plants and your apple tree you hurry over to the chicken barn. One by one you carry your chickens outside, they like the walking space plus you do... Read more

Harvest Moon, in a basic sense, could also be touted as a life simulator, since your farming efforts are partially responsible for your character's personal life. It's a game typical of its Japanese origin. It's cartoon-like, the dialogue is direct, if a little corny, and gameplay is humorous as well as innovative. When you get deeper into A Wonderful Life and all of its underlying qualities, it's really not difficult to see why Harvest Moon is such a big deal. Read more

Why have they done this to harvest moon. they have completely and uterly destroyed the originals they should have built on. Where are the festivals to livin the game play up, oh yes i remember it's going to watch somebody play a very bad song on the guitar, twice a year. Where are the huge barns to house your 40 cows and sheep. where are the challenges of earning your bigger rucksack, your basket, and more importantly the difficult job of raising your horse. these cha... I've been a fan of Harvest Moon since the n64 days. This latest entry is really more of the same but they changed the cast of characters that I'm familiar with some new faces. The gameplay is engrossing and addictive yet tedious. You'll be doing the same tasks every day in hopes of getting an upgrade or the required amount of money to make your life much easier. You can even marry again, something taken out of the ps2 Harvest Moon. Harvest Moon: AWL is an excellent ga... Read more

This is the best game that i have played for the gamecube. The graphics are stunning and in this game you focus more on rasing a family. The animals are very realistic and this time you can have cows and bulls and you can get different types of them. Sadly you can only have male sheep and both sheep, cows and your horse stay in the same barn which limits the number of animals you can have. This time there are sadly only three girls to court and marry and the be quite ... Read more
