Golden Sun game story is about a band of magic-attuned which consist of four playable characters of magic-attuned adepts, in the journey into the world of Weyard to prevent the destructive power of alchemy from being released. Along the journey, they interact with other characters, battle many monsters, gain magic spells and equipment, and also take part in a predefined narrative. The game enables the player to accomplish each objective out of order and visit previous locations to advance minor elements. Most of the game plays are set in dungeons, caves and other places that involve puzzles to be solved by the player. The game play focuses mainly on Psynergy, form of magic spells that can be used for battle as well as solving puzzles. There are four elements of psynergy namely Venus, which is a manipulation of rocks and plants; Mars, which is fire and heat element; Jupiter, which based on wind and electricity; and Mercury, which concerns water and rice. Psynergy can be gain as the player progresses along and also by acquiring special items. Another important features of the Golden Sun is Djinn, which is a magical creature. The player required to collect and manipulate Djinn in order to into increase character’s statistic enhancement and also dictates the character’s Psynergy capabilities. As the player passes each level, the player will receive experience points, coins and sometimes items. Besides its story mode, the game also feature competitive battling mode that enables the player to use current-developed team to battle CPU-controlled enemies or other players head-to-head.
