The Samsung DVD-SH873 is a DVD recorder with digital-to-analog converter rate of 10 bit / 54 MHz (video) and 24 bit / 96 kHz (audio). It supports 720p / 1,080i / 1,080p high definition up conversion, has progressive scan and supports MPEG2, MPEG4, DIVX (DIVX3.1~DIVX6), AUDIO CD, and JPEG playback on DVD-VIDEO, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, and HDD media format. It has supports AV1 / AV2 / AV3 and channel output, Set Top Box with FTA / PAL Tuner / DVB-T. The DVD recorder also has function like Child Protection, OTR, Time Slip, Time Shift, G-Code / Video+ / Show View, 4 x Quick Dubbing, DVB-SI, EZ REC Mode, EZ Editing, One Touch Direct Copy, Chapter Creator, Auto DV Input Detection and JPEG Photo Album. The Samsung DVD-SH873 supports input and output connectivity for coaxial digital audio, component video, composite video, composite video, DV input, HDMI CEC, HDMI Output, Optical Audio Output, Scart Jack, USB 2.0 and Anynet+. The unit also supports Dolby Digital, DTS Digital Out, and PCM output. The Samsung DVD-SH873 measures 430 x 55 x 300 mm and weighs 3.8 kg. The DVD recorder has a power consumption of 30.0 W and 2.5 W on standby.

Features

The DVD-SH873 is a multi format recording DVD recorder that supports DVD-RAM, -R, +R, -RW, +RW. It features Time Shift which allows users to rewind "LIVE" TV to replay a scene that may have been missed or simply would like to see again. Users can also pause "LIVE" TV if they have to take a phone call or step away from the TV. When ready, simply press play to resume watching. The Samsung DVD-SH873 also features DivX (MPEG-4) playback for high-quality DivX videos. It can support DVDs and CDs with DivX videos downloaded on a computer, and lets users enjoy watching them on a larger display with a TV. Other features on the Samsung DVD-SH873 are 160 GB hard drive; EZ REC mode - initialises recording on the DVD disc automatically upon insertion. The same disc will be automatically finalised when users open the tray or once the recorder detects that the disc is 30% full; Auto Setting - the recorder calibrates automatically to the DVD format; HDMI™ output – HDMI™ (High Definition Multimedia Interface) transfers high definition video and audio from a DVD player to the TV, home theatre or other digital AV components without loss of any digital signal.
