Let me make one thing perfectly clear on this review. Since my days in high school, and up to this day, I have never liked skaterats (my name for skateboarders.) To me, being a skaterat is the lowest form of life, maybe even lower than a convicted multiple murderer. Read more

Sometimes you sit for hours and words won’t come out. You’ll type up drivel over and over again, the same crap reworded six or seven different ways, all of it saying the same thing but sucking more and more and more than it did the last time. Right now, this is one of those times. I don’t know what to say. I’m trying to write a review for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 for the Dreamcast. I’ve tried all the introductions, the “Dreamcast is dead” nostalgia trip,... Read more

One of the best new moves is also the simplest. The Manual allows you to combine far more tricks than before. It's like a wheelie that can be used while you skate to another object. Combining different tricks into a flowing move is the secret of achieving huge scores in this game, and the Manual allows you to make a combo that lasts an entire two minute run in a level... if you're good enough. While the aforementioned additions to the game are nothing to be sniffed at,... Read more

The original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater arrived on the scene and did the impossible. Not only did it bring skateboarding to the videogame masses, but it also did so with such proficiency that it immediately became the industry standard—a standard as yet unmatched by its competitors. One ancillary side effect that has not been lost on Activision or Neversoft, is that it helped legitimize the sport in the eyes of many and became a full-fledged sports title as well. As such,... As mentioned The House of the Dead 2 can now be obtained for £5 (even with a BOGOF deal at the moment) so in fact £2.50! Light Guns will set you back less than £10 each and regularly appear on E-Bay. Proof again that the DC series still stands up against anything on PS2/XBOX/GC a good five years after it's demise. Great fun at a snip. The DC lives... even if it is through the rotting stench of a thousand zombie corpses, just waiting to be annhialated. For more DC fun... Read more
