Ready 2 Rumble Boxing is a boxing game that was released by Midway. It is a reminiscent of Nintendo’s Punch Out series in that it features many characters with colourful personalities.

Features

Characters featured in Ready 2 Rumble Boxing include world-famous ring announcer Michael Buffer who bellows the familiar, “Let’s get ready to rummmmble!”, Afro Thunder, Salua Tua, Rocket Samchay, Tank Thrasher, Kemo Claw, “Big” Willie Johnson, Butcher Brown, Angel Rivera, Faz Motar, Lulu Valentine, Jimmy Blood and Boris “The Bear” Knokimov. Besides that, there are also several hidden characters who can be unlocked through gameplay. The game is in 3D and thus allows players more control over the characters in the ring. Through out the fights in the game, you can earn letters by delivering multiple hard punches. Each boxer has his or her own personality and boxing style to master, and a special move called a “Rumble Flurry” that they unleash when you spell out the word “RUMBLE”. Players must train their fighter in preparation for a title match, or just play in arcade mode and lay the smack down.
