18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker

18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker is an arcade game developed by Sega AM2 and published by Sega but was later ported over to the Dreamcast in 2001.

Features

In 18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker, the main purpose is to make it to the finish line with your cargo within a given time. Players have five characters to choose from, including Asphalt Cowboy, who has the best all-round truck and is perfect for beginners; Long Horn, who has the slowest but toughest, most durable vehicle; Stream Line who has the weakest truck that is most prone to heavy damage; as well as Highway Cat with the fastest truck but poor acceleration. The fifth trucker is a hidden trucker, Nippon Maru, a Japanese trucker who drives a dekotora. He can be unlocked by completing the arcade mode in any difficulty with all four regular truckers. His truck is balanced but has less traction and slides on turns. In the game, players can ram into certain special vehicles which look like purple Chevy Astro Vans to add three seconds to their time. After Stage 1, the game gives the player a choice of trailer; one trailer is harder to haul, but provides a bigger payoff while the other choice is easier to haul but provides a smaller payoff. Money is deducted from the total when the trailer is hit.
