The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX9V is a compact camera that was unveiled in early February 2011. This model happens to be Sony’s first compact digital still camera to feature a 24mm Sony G lens with a16x optical zoom that is combined with full HD (1920 x 1080/60p) video shooting capability. Featuring a 16.2-megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor, this model is a GPS-enabled digital camera. Equipped with 16x (24-384mm equiv.) zoom, this compact camera features a 3.0-inch LCD that supports 921k colours. It can shoot high resolution panoramic images and it can also generate 3D images. It comes with the new Intelligent Sweep Panorama HR (High Resolution) mode. This camera is able to record full 1080p60 HD videos. It also offers to photographers a 10fps continuous shooting. Offering 3D, this digital camera has a dedicated movie button. It comes with the new Intelligent Sweep Panorama HR (High Resolution) mode.

There’s a 3-inch Xtra Fine LCD display that is featured on this camera and it supports 921,000-dot colour. It features the Optical SteadyShot with Active Mode image stabilization. It has the Sweep Multi Angle technology that allows photographers to view photos in simulated 3D on the camera’s LCD screen. It features the GPS/Compass function. It comes with a manual control ring that can be used to adjust focus or zoom of the camera.
