My pocket friendly Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5V with great features
2 January 2014
Excerpt: I love this camera even when its that small, the quality of picture and video it produces still amazes me.This camera is pocket friendly as well. It has got many features namely; GPS inbuilt which automatically records when and where you shoot photos and videos, I don't need to carry a Compass...
Pros: very good picture quality in all conditions, good video quality, wide aperture,
Cons: was only given 10mega pixels, GPS feature only helpful when you are on internet
Summary: First of all, is the cheapest price I found on internet, and you receive from Amazon a free case. The camera is probably the best compact digital camera (even more expensive cameras don't have its qualities).
Summary: Even though I decided to not be a sheep by getting the TZ10 and go for the Sony this was a very bad move. Like so many before have said the picture quality is poor, all mushy if you zoom in. However the worst of it was I bought this for it's alleged good low light performance.
Summary: just got the camera a couple of days ago. so far so good, the reason why i have given this cute little camera a 3 star is because: Sony is using a proprietary USB/video combi cable, the cable used is a clunky and adds about 30% to the bulk of the camera.
Summary: firstly i've found when videoing it goes in & out of focus when filming in a low light situation such as concerts, secondly i'm not able to transfer the video to my mac as it's only compatible with imovie 09 and mines an older mac, preffered my panasonic lumix which i could just drag the files onto...
Summary: I've had my HX5V for about 3 weeks now and whilst I don't pertain to be a professional, I'm far from an amateur. I purchased this in the hope that I did not have to carry bags around filled with camera and video equipment. Firstly and I think most importantly, the picture quality is abysmal.
