I bought our camera , the lumix DMC-FZ18 on this web site, we saw another Lumix in a shop that day & tried it out..the zoom was fantastic, but the FZ18 (above) had an even better optical zoom..so that inticed us to look at this one in more detail.. With regret I have used my Agfa Super Sillette for the last time. I dreaded moving over to the digital age but have been agreeably surprised at how easy it has been and overjoyed at the results. The instruction booklet was very clear and logical. It has been extremely easy to use on Intelligent Automatic and the zoom lens is great. The automatic point and shoot mode with a good anti shake feature make this little camera a joy to use but if you demand manual control that is also there - I love it. It has lots of nice features that I appreciate more every time that I take it out (outdoor sport mode for example). Battery life is also good.
