, Panasonic’s then-new 8.1-megapixel, 10x zoom travel camera, and I stated at the time that I also hoped to get its more powerful sibling the TZ5 in for review soon after. Well it’s taken a little longer than I’d hoped, but I’ve finally got one in, and I have to say, it’s been worth the wait. Read more
An unusual design with some imperfections, but you get a lot of versatility for your money Read more
Though it's not perfect, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5's compact mid-range superzoom feature set puts it in a class with just its sibling, the TZ4, and should deliver a satisfying shooting experience Read more
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 represents an incremental evolution of an already winning blueprint, retaining the fundamental design of the hugely successful TZ3 model, whilst adding a smattering of new features. Current owners of the TZ3 won't be clamouring to upgrade, and if you can still find one at a bargain price, it remains a fantastic purchase, but for everyone else the new DMC-TZ5 is a very appealing camera in a saturated market, thanks to it... I was really amazed at this, and made the awfully silly assumption, that in this 'competitive' high tech day and age, there wouldn't be much difference in picture quality. The pictures from the Canon loo... Read more
A nice little camera with features you'd expect in a bigger camera such as Canon's PowerShot S5 IS. It has a x10 zoom with image stablisation which helps stop blurry pictures, along with a 28mm wide angle lens (allowing for a wider framed shot). Despite its neat size (easily fits in your pocket), it has a big screen taking up most of the back of the camera . It has plenty of features (including digital red eye correction, face detection, and settings to play aroud wit... Read more
