For anyone who is looking for a camera that has a nice, slim design and that will produce pretty decent images for you, then you may want to take the Olympus FE 190 into consideration. The main problem that CNET found with this digital camera is the fact that it does not have very many features to offer you. However, if you are new to digital cameras this may be a good thing, as you will not be likely to get confused by all of the complex features that other cameras have to offer. According to them, although the camera does not have the stylish curves that you may be looking for, it still has a very nice design. Some of the things which they did like a lot about this camera include the fact that it has very good white balance, it is affordable, and the color saturation was pretty good for the most part in all types of settings, including outdoors.

One of the things that Amazon liked most about the Olympus FE 190 is the fact that it does have a very thin design, which makes this a suitable camera choice if you are looking for something that will fit into your pocket or purse. According to Amazon, the fact that the camera contains 6 mega pixels makes it so that you will get the high definition pictures which you are probably looking for. So, are you still unsure whether or not the Olympus FE 190 is the right choice for you? Well, if you are looking for a fashion camera with a thin design that you can buy for a pretty affordable or even inexpensive price, then chances are that the Olympus FE 190 is a great choice for you. However, if you are looking for a camera which is packed with a number of different features, then you may want to begin looking elsewhere for a digital camera.

  1. Olympus FE-190 Digital Camera Review

    14 December 2006

The Olympus FE-190 is one of the latest digital cameras to be added to the FE line.  The entire line is dedicated to the purposes of being easy to use and easy to afford.  The 6 megapixel FE-190 looks like a much more expensive ultra-slim camera, at only 0.7 inches thick with a 2.5 inch LCD and 3x optical zoom. I have had this camera for 2 years. I probably have taken 4000+ pictures. Its easy to download from and is surprisingly hardy. Have taken on several vacations internationally. I am a military officer and carried it in my uniform in Iraq and Afghanistan for 11 months; its convenient and slim enough to carry in my shoulder pocket. I like rechargeable batteries instead of going broke buying expensive lithium batteries; I normally charge one and carry one. I wonder when this... Read more

My wife just had to have a digital camera. She bought an Olympus FE-190 new a few years ago and has since gone back to an Olympus film automatic. With good cause. The FE_190 shuts on and off constantly. Sometimes, it refuses to come on. The battery drains quickly. It always wants a time date reset. Etc. Etc. Etc. Etc. If I want something easy to carry, I dig out my wife's old Olympus XA. It still works after 30 years. Black & white negatives from the XA in a cranked up... Read more

I bought this camera two years and only used it for special occasions and it is already broke. The picture quality is just decent and the battery doesn't last that long. It has never lasted that long. The camera no longer takes pictures even after replacing the lithium battery, charging it, changing the memory card etc. I paid over $170.00 for this camera at the time and it wasn't worth it. I would save your money especially since there are much better cameras on the... Read more
