Despite promising a lot, the P6000 ended up being a disappointment, with its headline features like GPS and a LAN connection not quite working as expected. It's a good camera all the same, but it's too slow, even with JPEGs (worse in RAW mode) and it doesn't really manage electronic noise very well. Read more
This tech-packed stunner of a bridge camera strives to offer a perfect balance between the DSLR and compact worlds. Read more
And so when you look at the P6000 against rivals such as Canon’s PowerShot G10 and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, you’re left asking if this camera is a missed opportunity by Nikon? Yes, it’s easy to use and handle, has innovative features (when they work, such as the GPS); the new lens becomes (probably) the P6000’s highlight feature given the other foibles detailed here. Low ISO image quality is stunning but given the price and the other problems, is it enough? I... Read more
But then it's been spoiled by badly-judged image processing, a weak and uninspired control layout and innovative but complex technology which could only be of value to a very small proportion of users. Read more
For a compact, the P6000 is pretty good, but if you buy it thinking it's going to match a dSLR you're going to be disappointed. The responses aren't as fast, the viewing system is inferior and the control layout is less efficient. And you can get this level of picture quality without spending anywhere near this amount of cash Read more
You can not edit the pictures on picture project a super fast ans easy Nikon software, It's super quick and easy to re-sharpen and crop. the softwart package it comes with, well it might as well have not come with anything. The camera is built very well and easy to use, lots of options to select from, I would just have expected better picture quality for a Nikons top of the line point and shoot. Maybe I'm just use to my Nikon D-300 cameras. Very disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!... Read more
It took a little while to figure out all the settings because I have too much ego to read the manual but when I finally got this camera set up the way I wanted the pictures are amazing, the clarity is much better than my old 10mp camera. [...]Thank you Read more
A real nice camera, small in size but large in picture quality and features. Love the rotary program button, just like in the old days when one could quickly and easily switch from mode to mode without having to go through endless menus. Have had it only a few weeks but one minus so far, the Zoom lever is much too sensitive. Just touch it and it jumps from wide angle to about half way zoom. Read more
i am buying this camera (refurbished from Nikon for $299!!) now because its price dropped like a stone, and had never owned a Nikon before. so, as a keen user of Canon (I currently own the G9 and S90) is was curious and eager to experiment with the differences. Read more
This review is from: Nikon Coolpix P6000 Digital Camera - Black (14.0MP, 4x Optical Zoom) 2.7 inch LCD (Electronics) I ordered the Nikon p6000 from EHOME via Allcam. When I received it there was no documentation in the box. I rang up Allcam and said that I had n't received any documentation ie neither the user manual or anything concerning any warranty. I was told that this was a grey product and that there is no Nikon warranty in the UK for this product. I still haven't... Read more
