    For a surprisingly lightweight ‘bridge' camera, Kodak's new headlining Z980 has strikingly easy controls, a terrific new 24x optical zoom and a helpful second shutter system for use with portrait photography.     This is the Kodak Z980 camera and it measures 12x8.5x10.5cm, the last figure the width can vary substantially when in use as the zoom lens moves out between 2 and 6cm when the camera is switched on. It runs on four rechargeable ‘AA’ batteries and they and the charger are supplied. The weight with supplied neck strap attached is 540grams. Read more

    : The Kodak Easyshare Z980 has quite a few quirks and peculiarities, for example, it provides full manual controls, plus RAW support, but no manual white balance! The video mode is great on paper letting you use the optical zoom and record in 720p HD, however there is a constantly flashing red light that shows up in videos.     This camera is spectacular! It has great features and you don't come across many cameras with a 24X zoom off of a built in lens and it is 12MP too! This camera was discontinued by Kodak and replaced by the Z950 I believe which is not even close. If you happen to come across one of these buy it quickly. Getting more and more difficult to find.
