Fujifilm is pleased to announce the new FinePix S5800, a refinement of its predecessor, the FinePix S5700.
"The Fuji Finepix S5800 is one of the cheaper super zoom cameras. It is also one of the easier to use models as well. The lower price can be attributed to a few features being missing, such as image stabilisation. In June last year I reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix S5700 , and I was pretty impressed with it, giving it 9/10 overall and a Recommended award. The S5700 has proved to be a well-deserved success for Fujifilm, so as naturally as night follows day it has now been joined in the FinePix line-up by the S5800. I bought this camera in September 2007 and have no complaints, its very easy to use once you get use to all the many functions this camera comes with.If you cant be bothered with all the many functions set the camera to highest format ,turn to auto and take your photo's. Battery life is excellent, Photographs very good, excellent quality, especially good are the sunset and landscape settings. Read more

I have owned the Fujifilm S5800 for several months now, and it has proven itself to be a resilient and high quality camera. It has several modes, including shutter priority, aperture priority, and manual which allows manual setting of shutter speeds between 1/1000-4sec,aperture of f3.5-13.6 and ISO 64-1600.
