Summary: Overall, I have to say I am happy with the quality and features of this camera. It may not measure up to an SLR, however, it does the job of a handy family camera. Pros - built in 10Mb memory, not sure but if I were designing it I would use it as a buffer - good resolution 12 Mp, there are better but crowding a tiny photo sensitive chip with more Mp doesn't always result in better pictures (I still use a 10 Mp Cannon because the images are still very high quality) -...
Summary: I love this camera its amazing considering the price. The screen is huge and really captures the moment. The only thing I was dissapointed in was the zoom it would get a little blury but that didn't stop me and it comes with a charger but its kind of hard to charge you have to wait for a little green light but other that those things everything was amazing. Plus the video is great not so much on the volume but you can hear it on the computer fine. This is a MUST have.
Summary: My husband picked this camera up for me as a Christmas gift. My old camera was 6 years old and was starting to have some problems. This camera has annoyed me from the start. First of all, you have to have the battery in the camera to charge it. That makes having a spare battery kind of useless because you can't charge the one that dies while using the spare. Secondly, you can not charge the camera by plugging it into a USB port.
Summary: 1. This is one of those products where you should and shouldn't compare it to the current products out there. Here are my bottomline thoughts: a. Compared to the current digital camera offerings, this one is... like a Ford Pinto. But on the otherhand, one really has to ask themselves what they are going to use this camera for? Because at the end of the day, even this is like a Ford Pinto, that's completely "good enough" for 80% or 90% of the casual shooters out there.
Summary: The FinePix J40 is a decent camera, and has a few very enticing features: -3X optical zoom -Portrait, Backlit Portrait, Night Portrait, Landscape, Night and Macro settings -Video recording -2 GB memory card -3.0 inch LCD screen -Very small and slim camera -Easy to use Unfortunately the positives are few and far between. One of the main attractions to this camera is the size, it's only 0.8 inches thick and weighs about 6 ounces.
Summary: I bought this camera from amazon last year maybe, and I loved it! Every picture I took was crystal clear even though I know my hands can be a little shaky. I was very sad when it dropped and broke. I tried to buy another camera to replace it, but I hated it after using the Fujifilm one. So I bought a used one even though it cost more than the new one originally did because it was worth it. I wish they didn't stop making these.
Summary: i purchased this camera as a christmas gift for my daughter last year and it worked great until recently. tried to charge battery and it will not accept a charge. went to fuji website and that was no help as the j40 does not exist as a product on their website. i purchased an extended warranty from squaretrade last year so hopefully they can help me out.
