A good all-round camera, but there's no real reason to buy this rather than a similarly priced true SLR. Read more
The FinePix S100FS is the largest and heaviest of our megazooms models, but has the smallest zoom ratio. This is due to its 2/3in sensor, which is 65 per cent larger than the 1/2.3in CCDs used by the other models – though this is still significantly smaller than the sensors used by even the most basic of digital SLRs. A much larger set of lens elements is needed to focus on the larger sensor, hence the huge lens. Read more
The superb specification level is slightly marred by the way controls are implemented but there’s so much neat stuff crammed into the camera, that it really can take on almost any photography challenge thrown at it, it’s just that the results might not be what you expect, at least at first. The Fujifilm FinePix S100fs is undoubtedly an ensemble of high specification camera features and some clever and reliable Fuji digital camera wizardry. But it’s an ensemble that... Read more
The FinePix S100fs is the best (and only!) expert bridge at this time. With its fine ergonomics, it proudly comes close to the entry level reflex while at the same time offering more versatility (14.3x zoom, macro, vidéo). In very high sensitivities, reflexes take back back their advantage. Read more

Having owned all cameras from a Zorki 4K through Zenith, Minolta 7000, Olympus D395, Fuji 6900zoom The Fuji s100fs is a fantastic bit of kit, I managed to pick mine up at my local photography shop Bucklands in Seaford for the amazing price of just £349. Can't wait to get out and put it through it's paces in super macro mode especially using the Velvia slide simulation. Read more
Fuji FinePix S100FS Review - With the price of DSLRs dropping all the time, the justification for bridge cameras between compacts and full-grown DSLRs looks increasingly weak. The S100FS makes a game job of proving that there is still room for such a camera. It represents an awful lot of camera for comparatively little money and one that is more flexible than a DSLR kit for the same outlay. Its feature set, including very respectable RAW performance and dynamic range... Read more
Pleased to introduce the latest model series S, FinePix S100FS, with stunning color transmission system, similar to the result with the famous film. In addition, the camera has an excellent optical node with increasing x 14,3. He has a wide range of focal lengths from 28mm to 400m, which will work with the camera in different situations. This will facilitate the same and a large 2.5-inch swivel screen with high resolution. With these characteristics camera excellent for... Read more

Let'sfirst get the price issue out of the way. It is entirely subjective so I haven't considered this in my appraisal. After nearly 30 years of lugging around a large and very heavy bag full of lenses and equipment I'd had enough so I was looking for everything all in one package. This is where the S100FS meets my needs perfectly. I'm no longer picking which lense to use as it's all in one. The range of features - Auto, Selective Bracketing (very useful), Fully Manual,...
