However, there are a number of different things which may make you want to decide to buy a different camera. As CNET puts it, there is nothing which makes this camera much more special than any other digital camera that is out on the market. Although it is compact, it seems as though most of the new cameras that are being made are compact as well. Even though the design is not sleek, this camera can be found in five different colors which may be an advantage if you are looking for something other than a basic black or silver camera. CNET found that the performance of the Casio Exilim EX Z700 was good overall, except for the fact that when you quickly take tons of pictures, they made end up grainy. CNET also found the camera to be packed with some really great features, even though it does not do the best with low light settings.
The Casio Exilim Z700 is not only suitable for your pocket or purse, but it also has 7 mega pixels. Cameras agrees with CNET about the fact that there is really nothing special about this camera. They also agreed that the overall image quality of the photos that were produced by this camera was pretty good, overall. They also liked the color quality of most of the images which they took with the camera. They especially like the 2.7 inch LCD screen that can be found on the Casio Exilim EX Z700. So, as you can see, if you are looking for a camera that is pretty decent overall, then the Casio Exilim EX Z700 is a pretty good choice for you. However, if you are interested in finding a digital camera which is extraordinary, CNET and Cameras both seem to agree that the Casio Exilim EX Z700 is not the right choice for you, by any means, as there is nothing that makes this camera any more special than any other camera.
See lessUltracompact cameras are everywhere. It seems as if nearly every camera manufacturer is cramming a 6-plus-megapixel CCD and an inexpensive lens into a tiny case and putting it on the shelves. Without exceptional quality or a unique feature, it's easy for these small cameras to get lost in the crowd. Casio's 7-megapixel Exilim EX-Z700 is one of those lost cameras, a solid and small model that simply lacks the wow factor. The camera maxes out at ISO 400 sensitivity,... Read more
Once again, the watchwords here are “less is so much more”. Casio has a great little camera in the Z700 but one marred by having more pixels than it needs (given the market) on a sensor that’s just too small. Drop this to a 5-megapixel camera and the noise would probably vanish – or at least be much less prominent. And that AF system is just flippin’ frustrating so I cannot recommend this camera. However, to be fair, if you’re not going to make prints bigger... Read more
The Casio Exilim EX-Z700 is a fantastic camera with very few weaknesses. It is suitably compact and not noticeably heavy yet the screen size is not compromised; the LCD display is usefully large. In addition, the design of the zoom button is incredibly quick and easy to use as well as zooming long distances. There are many different 'best shot' styles including 'backlight' and 'monochrome'. Nevertheless using the automatic 'portrait' function produces good quality... Read more
I should start by saying that this camera is really well made. It has a feel of quality about it, in the finish, buttons and weighting. The lense is good quality and produces lovely pictures. The camera is easy to use and has many functions. Uploading photos is easy (we don't even need to use the supplied CD software) and the charging cradle keeps the camera in a stable position, making it harder to knock it off the desk, unlike those that you just plug a cable straight...
