Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS

Canon Digital IXUS 80 IS is a digital camera that features 8.0 megapixel resolutions with 3x optical zoom with Optical Image Stabilizer lens that incorporates with Advance Ultra-High Refractive Index Aspherical (UA) technology. It has a 2.5 inch PureColor II LCD screen with its resolution of 230,000 pixels. It comes with a Optical Viewfinder (OVF) as well. The camera has the dimension of 86.8 x 54.8 x 22.0mm and its weight is 125g excluding battery. IXUS 80 IS uses Canon’s DIGIC III image processor with iSAPS technology which deals with the quality of the images captured. It is powered by NB-4L Li-ion battery. There are four selections of colours available for this camera, including Classic Silver, Candy Pink, Caramel and Chocolate. Its exterior is made up of pure aluminium.

Features

Motion Detection Technology is a feature packed with IXUS 80 IS. It functions to detect and assess the subject movement and calculates the suitable boost of ISO levels. This feature which is activated in High ISO mode takes IS into account. ISO sensitivity ranges from 80 up to 1600. The digital camera has Face Detection technology with Face Detection White Balance and Face Select and Track being featured. They work on people and portrait shots and set the appropriate focus, exposure, flash and white balance. Auto Red-Eye Correction removes detected red-eye in the images automatically as user capture them. The camera offers Movie modes that include Long Play (LP) feature for VGA (30 fps) clips which use half the normal memory card space. Besides that, it has AF Point Zoom that allows users to magnify the AF frame so that they can check the image to be captured before shooting. Its storage system is compatible with SD, SDHC, MMC, MMCplus, HC MMCplus memory cards for the captured images.
