Summary: I hesitated between this item and the Sanyo equivalent. I used it for 3 months at which point the shutter failed to open and therefore I was unable to use at all. It was send back to Amazon who replaced it with a brand new one, great service there!
Excerpt: This is a really great little camcorder that produces stunning images and brilliant sound. It's also very compact and easy to carry around. However, to avoid disappointment and/or to get the best out of HDR-TG3E there are a few things you should know. 1.
Pros: well - priced, stunning quality, easy to carry and use
Cons: no mini - HDMI to HDMI cable supplied in the box
Summary: Excellent HD camcorder, really easy to use, charge & download. Playback is seamless so you don't have to go into each individual recording when watching stuff back. Stylish carry case also. Highly recommended.
Summary: The HD quality on an HD TV is excellent when played through the camera. But I want to edit the footage using Power Director 7 Ultra. It only allows the output to a DVD using MPEG compression at 720 X 576, and hence a loss in quality.
Summary: As always, a fantastic productv from SONY. There really is nothing wrong with this camera! The only things that let the package down slightly is as with most SONY products.... 1 - The Memory stick has to be SONY, the camera really does not like the cheaper versions from some auction sites!
Summary: I am looking to upgrade my camcorder to the Sony, and i am buying an iMac so want to make sure the camera works with the imac. I see 3 conflicting reviews for this camera - can someone please tell me if it works with iMac for stills and video It seems that Apple and more importantly Sony do not...
Summary: The first two people that saw my video of Scotland asked me "Where can I get that?"! The 16GB/sec is incompatible with the 15GB/sec (cannot be played on) on the HDR-CX6EK and according to the net there is something innovative about the 16GB format?
