Excerpt: "I have had this camera for almost two years. It takes very high-def photographs and videos. Beautiful details. I really wish that this camera had a flash or some extra features. A black and white setting would be nice. This camera is very basic, but takes stunning photographs and videos. It also had a very convenient pop-out USB so that you can always plug it into your computer without a cord. The zoom can be blurry, but if you get up close to an ...

Sony bloggie MHS-TS20K: Bloggie, Woggie Woggie - High Definition Recording!

Summary: Product Title Sony Bloggie Touch The Producer of the Product Sony The Target Audience The target audience for this camcorder I would say reaches everybody from age 7+. The reason for this is because it is extremely basic to use, yet offers a lot of fun capturing those favourable moments that aren't always remembered, a camcorder is a great gift for a youngster capturing their own memories especially for when they are grown up and they have a big video collection of their...
Pros: Very small, Very light, High Definition Recording and Photo Quality.
Cons: Zoom feature is awkward to use, lack of features.
Summary: I bought this Sony bloggie because I wanted something inexpensive that would record video and also liked the idea of having a pocket-sized device to take good photos with because my normal camera is a large DSLR, which is a bit of a pain to walk around with all the time. I considered a number of different brands in this genre of camera - like the Flips for example, which are probably the best known pocket-sized camcorders.
Pros: Surprisingly good footage and sound, easy to use.
Cons: Short battery time, 360 degree fitting is not that great.
Summary: High quality High definition video camera which can also take stills. The camera comes with it's own editing and librarian software built in, although I prefer to use my own software. The USB plug is hidden away at the bottom of the camera and flips out when needed. There is also an HDMI socket for direct connection to a HiDef TV or computer. The video quality is very good but suffers in low light (like most cameras).
Good, classy HD recorder but alternatives may suit you better

Summary: This little camera outscores its competitors (I have a Flip Video Ultra High Definition Camcorder With 8GB Memory - Black and a Kodak Zi6 High Definition Pocket Video Camera - Black which I've reviewed elsewhere) in some respects. For one thing it looks fantastic and is a very slim device. Having said that it is perhaps a little too slight and the metal surface, while smart-looking, isn't the easiest to grip.
Summary: From the box this Sony mini HD camcorder is easily charged via the built in (pop-out) usb connector. All the software and user manuals are downloaded from the camera's built in hard drive and set up of both the camera and software is a relatively easy and straight forward. I was impressed by the speed at which the camera boots up and is ready for use - less than 2 seconds. The face recognition is surprisingly accurate.
Summary: My first impression of this was that it was a mobile phone without the phone bit! You can take pictures and film HD videos but not make a phone call. Surely we are in the era of universal gadgets now, where your phone also serves as a book reader and bottle opener to boot? My wife soon dispelled any doubts about this camera! She has taken to it like a duck to water!
Summary: Compact and robust it may be, but it is also useless! The still camera shoots poor photographs in all but the best light. The video recorder is equally poor at low light, added to which downloaded videos (which look reasonable when played on the camera screen) become excessively jerky when downloaded to Real Player, whether the movement being recorded is actual or due to panning. The quality becomes even more hopeless on recorded video if zoom is used.
