The Panasonic HDC-HS900 is compatible with 3D conversion lens, and allows users to record 3D images. The 3D images or video can then be played on a VIERA 3DTV, a compatible 3D TV, or through an AVCHD-compatible player/recorder, such as Panasonic’s Blu-ray Disc™ player. The Panasonic HDC-HS900 also features a 3.5 inch LCD display with advanced touch operation that includes Touch Zoom where users can zoom in or out by finger movement and Touch Shutter to automatically focus and take a photo by touching the subject5 on the screen. The Panasonic HDC-HS900 also supports a 220GB hard disk drive. The high-sensitivity 3MOS sensor supports up to 7.59 million effective motion image pixels (2.53 megapixels x 3) and separates light received through the lens into the three primary colours – red, green and blue. It then processes each independently for professional-like colour quality, detail and gradation. It also features an F1.5 Leica Dicomar Lens for optimized images with minimal ghosts and flare, distortion and degradation of contrast and resolution; 35mm wide-angle capability; Crystal Engine PRO which processes the large amount of data that goes into full-HD quality, Intelligent Resolution technology for sharp coloured motion images, and Intelligent Zoom for up to 20x zooming. Other features on the Panasonic HDC-HS900 include HYBRID OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) which reduces blurring due to hand and arm shake by detecting the vertical or horizontal wrist movements; iA (Intelligent Auto) with Face Recognition which automatically selects shooting mode to suit the conditions, and Face Recognition, which finds the faces of up to 6 registered people and optimizes the focus and exposure and tracks the subject moving within the LCD frame; Eco-Mode which automatically turns off the power when the camcorder is not operated for five minutes; and 5.1-Channel Surround Sound System.
