  • Is this the best to shoot video and stills in a village hall?

    I currently own a Panasonic SDR-H40. 42x optical zoom with advanced OIS HDD camcorder. Taking videos and photographs indoors give terrible results. My 70th birthday party was a wash out because nothing was worth printing from the footage and photos taken in the village hall. What would be a good camcorder to buy? Bearing in mind I am going on a cruise round Cape Horn early next year. Thank you
