Great Canon product that I expected. Mini DVD's go straight to DVD player with no hassle. The only negative I have with all the new camera's not only this one, is the fact that there is only 1 hour 20min battery life and 30 standard record DVDs. This means you have to purchase an extra battery and plenty of DVD's. Read more

I got it for $341.00, This is the first camcorder I have, I bought it because of its reasonable price and its good features. First of all, be careful what DVD you buy. it doesn't work with all of them, it warns you on the instructions that it doesn't work with all brands, but it doesn't tell you which ones, so I had to try by myself and I bought a Maxell DVD RW and it worked with it, Second of all, You cant save the still images on the DVD and on the other hand you cant... I bought a Canon DC230 from Buydig.com. After played with it for a couple of days, the screen display became frozen all the sudden, and the disc chamber could not be open either. I called Canon, and described the problem. Canon suggested that the unit need to be serviced. Since it's still a brand new camcorder, I sent it back to Buydig.com, and exchanged to a different brand new unit.
