List All 27 PricesAs a basic desktop PC the Mac mini will suffice in most cases. It's like the netbook of the Apple desktop PC range - small and cheap. For those who've already got a monitor, keyboard and mouse, this is the perfect way of switching to a Mac while still keeping the costs down, however if you are about to invest in the whole package then by the time you add a screen, and keyboard you might be better off opting for either an iMac or a MacBook, with the latter of course... When Apple first launched the Mac Mini back in 2005 very small desktop computers were rare. These days alternatives are available for as little as £150, making this latest version look rather expensive. The difference, however, lies in the processor inside. Most cheap mini desktop computers use low-cost, low-power processors such as Intel's Atom . This latest Mac Mini uses a far more powerful Core 2 Duo chip of the type you'd find in larger computers. At home, I am mostly doing email, web browsing, managing my photo collection, and managing my ever increasing audio collection, tasks which the mac is well... Read more
Intro Apple's Mac Mini joined their desktop computer product line as somewhat of an oddity. This tiny OS X system was introduced to reign in more 'switchers', who may have been struggling with the premium pricing of the other Mac systems at the time. Without keyboard, monitor, or mouse, the Mac mini let existing PC users take advantage of their own peripheral hardware, further easing the decision to switch. This review will present my experience with my mini and... Read more

This "links' in perfectly to the Apple product line. If you are like me and always on the go then I have a Mac Pro at home and a Mac Pro at the main office then where I occasionally work a Mac Mini is about perfect for me. You see I used to use Small Business Server 2003 and used Sharepoint as my central repository. Now I have MobileMe and use my iDisk EVERY day then I want to access it EVERYWHERE. So having Macs in each location for me makes my life totally productive... Read more
