Its huge storage capacity can rip 200 GB onto the hard disk at 10x normal speed with high digital quality because the signal is not compressed. In addition to that, it also has long play convenience for instant access to all your music as well as a Jog dial. It allows you to create up to 999 “albums” with as many as 99 songs on the hard drive. Other features include Linear PCM 16 bit/ 44 kHz recording, 24-bit D/A and A/D conversions, and audio master quality recording mode for CD-R only. The Yamaha CDR-HD1500 is quite an amazing machine that puts just about all other CD recorders to shame, if you can afford the rather high price tag. In this case, however, the old adage is certainly true: you get what you pay for. The CDR-HD1500's CD recording capabilities are quite impressive, burning at 8X normal speed when recording to CD-R and 4X to CD-RW. However, how you select the music to record is what makes the CDR-HD1500 such a stellar machine. Read more

Setting up the CDR-HD1500 was very easy (it was just as easy with the CDR-HD1300 four years ago). There is so much this unit can do and it is worth it to... Read more
