The Alpine PDX-1.600 is a Class D 1 channel mono digital one-sided terminal layout with integrated wire and mounting screw terminal and designed for stacking. It features Thermal Management Control, Resonant Mode Power Supply, DC-DC PWM Power Supply, STAR Circuit and Auto Over-Current Protection. It also features top mounted blue LED Power/Status Indicator and non-fading pre-amp output. The unit also features adjustable Low-Pass crossovers, gold plated Input, Output, Power and Speaker Terminals, and discrete pre-amp stage. It also features MOSFET, 4-Layer Glass Epoxy PC Board and adjustable gain control. The amplifier use Direct FETs device to make switch-mode digital possible that takes up less room and they switch on and off fast when needed. The Class-D design, coupled with this switch-mode digital amplification allows the amplifier to stay efficient at all power levels. This produces less heat, eliminating the need for large heat sinks
