If it breaks down you'll have trouble getting parts

Excerpt: I purchased the Edegstar Portable Air Conditioner and Heater as a back up device in case my main unit went out. My main unit never went out, but I decided to test out the unit. This unit is pretty light for its size and was very easy for me to move around. I feared that this unit wouldn't last long because it didn't seem too stable to me despite its weight. I installed the unit in a reasonable amount of time and tested it out in my basement.
Summary: It seems to work as promised, but ever since I purchased it, the weather has been unnaturally cool and I've never used it other than to test that it actually works! I've run it when the weather was 70 degrees, but obviously couldn't tell how well it would perform if the temperature were 15 or more degrees warmer.
Summary: In my opinion, this is the best of the portable air conditioners. You never have to change any water pans as it evaporates the water and there is a hose that goes out the window to release the hot air. The unit is big enough for our bedroom which is about 11 x 16 and it keeps you very cool. It is noisy, but to me it is like white noise and I have no trouble falling asleep with that. If you do, try some magnesium. Overall, it is the best portable on the market.
Summary: This is the only air conditioner that I've seen that is CFC Free. If you're concerned about the environment, then this is a air conditioner for you. It has some decent cooling capability for cooling small and mid sized rooms of 200 square feet or less. This little compact Air Conditioner is just as good as other air conditioners you find in hotels. This unit is also a dehumidifier and a fan, so you can use it even in the winter.
Excerpt: They suggested a hose I found I didn't need. There was a system of panels and screws I found cumbersome. Overall, though, I've been quite pleased with the Edgestar portable Air Conditioner. It was delivered right to my door and it was easy to unpack and assemble.
Summary: It is rather large for an ac unit that doesn't really work that well. 12000 btu's is rated for like a 450 square foot room, I can't get it to cool a 250 square foot room to less than 80 degrees. It even says in the manual that if the temperature of the room is 90 or above the unit may not work. Isn't that the point of an air conditioner?
Summary: This air coonditioner has made a big difference in the cooling of my home. It runs efficiently and all water is vented outside. Installation was easy. Delivery was prompt. All questions were answered on a timely basis. I would use Mobile Cooling and highly recommend them and this unit.
